What You Need to Know

Common Questions

What file formats do your fonts include?

We offer an all-in-one solution, library includes Native BX, BX, and machine embroidery fonts in popular formats; unless otherwise indicated for a specific product

  • DST
  • PES
  • JEF
  • EXP
  • VP3
  • HUS
  • XXX
  • AND native BX format / BX Formats

If you need another format, feel free to contact us before purchasing.

What is BX format?

BX is a special format used with embroidery software like Embrilliance. It allows you to type embroidery text directly on your computer just like a keyboard font.

This makes resizing, editing, and customizing much easier.

What is Native BX format?

Native BX is a special embroidery font format that allows you to install the font into compatible embroidery software (such as Embrilliance) and type with it like a regular keyboard font.

Instead of importing each letter individually, you can simply type your text, and the software will automatically apply proper spacing and alignment.

Are your fonts compatible with my embroidery machine?

Our fonts work with most major embroidery machines, including:

  • Brother
  • Janome
  • Bernina
  • Baby Lock
  • Husqvarna Viking
  • Singer

Please check your machine’s supported file format before purchasing.

Can I use your fonts for commercial use?

Yes! You may use our embroidery fonts to create physical products for sale (shirts, hats, gifts, etc.).

However:

  • You may NOT resell, share, or redistribute the digital files.
  • You may NOT convert and resell them as new digital embroidery files.

How will I receive my files?

After purchase, you will receive:

  • Instant download access
  • A ZIP file containing all formats
  • Installation instructions (if applicable)

No physical product will be mailed.

I’m new to embroidery. Can I use your fonts?

Yes! Our fonts are beginner-friendly.

However, you should:

  • Know how to transfer files to your machine
  • Understand basic stabilizer and hooping techniques

If you're unsure, we’re always happy to guide you.

Can I resize the fonts?

Yes — resizing is supported when using the Native BX format (included with every AikaStitch font).

Our BX fonts are already provided in multiple preset sizes (for example, from 1 inch to 4 inches). The exact size range for each font is listed in the product description. We recommend using these pre-digitized sizes for the best stitch quality.

For standard embroidery machine formats (DST, EXP, JEF, PES, etc.), resizing directly on your machine is not recommended. Significant resizing can affect stitch density, spacing, and overall design quality.

For best results, always use the size closest to your project needs.
